Oh no! Not another fund drive on KBYU-FM. Not counting the Spring and Fall Fund drives on "Classical 89," not mentioning the Valentine Fund Drive, not counting what seems a fund drive every month, KBYU now comes along with a two-drive plea for donations and money gifts the first two days of December.
Funny that this fund drive coincides with the arrival of Christmas carols and songs on KBYU. Just like merchants at the mall cashing in on saccharine Christmas carols playing interminably, KBYU seems to use the Christmas songs as a background for appealing for donations. I blame KBYU's program director Eric Glissmeyer and KBYU's general manager Marcus Smith for this unholy conjunction. Shame, shame!
